one of my favourite quote…

If you give a starving man a fish, you can feed him for one day. But if you teach him how to fish, then definitely he can feed himself for a lifetime…

It’s all about the money, It’s all about the dum dum…….

2 05 2008

Being the appointment-setter (I am sorry, I don’t know what my job is but I am not a secreatary…) is fun and the payment is truly awesome! Well actually, today is my second day working with Kavaq Customers Intelligence and I managed to get RM30 just for today, guys!!! ;) I start working at 10am and finished at 3pm with lunch time in between. Approximately the duration for my working hours is just 4 hours and I got RM30 in 4 hours! *jump* Seriously the payment makes me crazy!

Oh, this is just a short update actually because I was so excited with my RM30 heee… Since, I have something to attend at Berjaya Times Square this evening so, gtg. Daaaaaa…. And enjoy this song.

Meja - It’s All About The Money

Sometimes I find another world
inside my mind
when I realise
all the crazy things we do
It makes me feel ashamed to be alive
I wanna run away and hide

Chorus
It’s all about the money
It’s all about the dum dum…….
And I don?t think It?s funny
to see us fade away
It’s all about the money
It’s all about the
I think we got it all wrong, anyway

Strange ways of showing
how much we really care
when in fact
we don?t seem to care at all
This pretty world
is getting out of hand
So how come we fail to understand?

Chorus

P.s Happy weekends guys! ;)

For those who doesn’t understand, I am so sorry guys. I am not using English instead I’m going to use my mother tongue language which is called as bahasa Sarawak throughout this entry. ;P

Ada cita best oi! Marek I start keja kat Kavaq Customer Intelligence. Nang cali la oi! I tek keja jadi surveyor mok update database semua syarikat kat dalam Selangor. I pun sik sangka I kenak terimak masuk. Eh lupak nak padah, Fila pun keja juak. I madah dengannya, I nang sik duli. I mok keja juak sebab I nang gila nak carik duit. Mun nya mok ekot, ekot. Mun sik mok, iboh. Tapi Fila pun semangat juak! Kmk duak jak orang Malaysia dari Sarawak lagik ya oi! Orang lain tek semua international people. Bukan apa, I jeles dengan Maman (adik) sebab dah ada approximately RM5K dalam banknya hasil dari nya buat part time dari nya form 3 lagik! I tok boros. Ada duit, nang abis terus la. So, now I dah start berazam nak saving. I kan dah besar… Bak kata Mak Dot tek, dah berbulu! ;D Eh, balit cerita asal tek. Payment kamek orang best juak la. Dah la kerja dalam UIA jak. Sik perlu keluar duit, embak dirik jak ke lab ya and telipon orang. Dah la boleh polah aek Nescafe and Milo free! Balit dengan kerja kmk org tek, mun dapat bercakap dengan manager kmk orang kenak berik RM5, mun executive RM3 and mun dengan officer biasa RM2. Best sik? And ari first keja ya tek, bos I berik offer dengan I untuk call semua manager nak setuju dengan kontrak company kmk orang ya, untuk set kan ari appointment. And sigek call nya berik I RM10! Gila sik????! And lepas I jadi setter for tarikh appointment ya bos I kata I jadi penaip data jak. Sik payah jadi surveyer gik and payment RM10 sigek paper. Tapi I reject offer ya. I baruk first day kerja. Jadi I sik berani la nak. Tapi, bila I dah settle dengan call I, nya nanyak cepat sik I naip sebab nya suruh I key in data dalam computer! I pun kata okay la. Sebab bukan nya sik berbayar kan? Nang best oi!!! ;D

And sigek gik cerita best nak cerita. Haha! Tok nang jaik ati la mun diingat. Malam Isnin lepas dalam pukul 10 malam giya, I tek lapar lalu. Baru balit dari meeting juak! A place like no others

28 04 2008

Miri, a place like no others… ;)

This is not an exaggerated claim but this is true. Don’t worry, Sarawakians are modest people (as mentioned by Bongkersz here). Haha… Well the thing is, each place has its own uniqueness which is differs from other places. Hope you get my point. Don’t worry, there’ll be no bragging statements here… Just enjoy all the pictures yea! ;P And click to enlarge.

This is a small port mainly for personal boat(s) located at Marina Bay, Miri. This port is owned by Shin Yang Group, a dynamic leading corporation with diversified business activities such as construction, shipping (domestic and international), real estate, plantations, quarrying and other small businesses in just a short period of ten years (taken from here). How cool is that huh?

A very beautiful view taken from Marina Bay where you can see a big seahorse statue which is actually a light house. Truly unique isn’t it?

Coconut trees. A typical scenery that you may see in Miri especially at the beach. Oh not to forget, the Ru tree(s) although it isn’t in the picture.

I am not sure what is this though. At first, I thought it was a bundle of man’s hair. Haha… But my grandma told me that it is actually an ethnics’ ornament.

Lotus.

A giant seahorse statue which is actually a light house as I mentioned earlier. You know what, although I am a Mirian but I have no idea why they associate Miri with a seahorse. :/

A Borneo Tribals’ print.

So this is Miri YO! Personally, what I really like about my hometown is the beach even though it is not as beautiful as Sabah’s beaches. Really. And not to forget the extreme hot weather too!

I am not a message girl

25 04 2008

texting sms

Whenever I received flirty text messages from whom I don’t know I feel really sick! Sorry for being brutally honest here but if you think the idea of getting people’s numbers and texting people randomly is something fun and exciting, then whatever! To me it is truly ‘yuck’…I just don’t understand. What do they expect from doing that? I mean by texting people randomly? It is a way to fill in the so called emptiness and loneliness? Eww… I am sorry. To be honest, I am not interested at all and I really hate it. I don’t want and I am not going to waste my credit for any fellas that I don’t know who he is. Shuuuushhhh… Go away! Unless, if you introduce yourself at the first place, and tell me for what reason you’re texting me then probably I can tolerate with it. ;) Random play isn’t fun at all! There’ll be a possibility of getting ‘AIDS’… Hehe. I am out of topic I know. :P

Oh, my N81 is probably no longer exist. My mum and dad had sent it for repair because nothing appeared on its screen. And they were thinking on selling it back and change it to Sony Erricson. Let’s just wait and see. Will blog about it later once I receive the phone. Hehe.. Currently I am using a cheap mobile phone. I am not sure what the model is but the phone is called ‘Amoi’ which is made from China. I bought it 2 years ago during PC Fair at KLCC. No fancy features, but just a cute little phone. :)

Picture taken from here.

I’ll be flying to Miri today at 4.20pm and will be back on the 27th . SO I’ll be having my 11 days break in Miri. :)

P.s: Ada pesan sik??? Hehehe… :P

A perfect song for a perfect movie

14 04 2008

I used to write my review for this movie in my LiveJournal (but I am so damn lazy to search for it tho!). But seriously, I cried after I finish watching it… :P

By watching this movie and also by listening to the theme song I’d like to say that, sometimes we forget or probably never realize about a group of people who puts their lives for other people so that others may live in this world. I highly respect them and salute them very much because of their willingness to risk their lives for other people who they don’t even know! So, here’s the perfect song for them…

Never Let Go by Brian Adams

Can you lay your life down, so a stranger can live?
Can you take what you need, but take less than you give?
Could you close every day, without the glory and fame?
Could you hold your head high, when no-one knows your name?
That’s how legends are made, at least that’s what they say.
We say goodbye, but never let go.
We live, we die, ‘coz you can’t save every soul.
Gotta take every chance to, show that you’re the kinda man who;
Will never look back, never look down,
and never let go.
Can you lose everything, you ever had planned?
Can you sit down again, and play another hand?
Could you risk everything, for the chance of being alone?
Under pressure find the grace, or would you come undone?
That’s how legends are made, at least that’s what they say?
We say goodbye, but never let go.
We live, we die, ‘coz you can’t save every soul.
Gotta take every chance to, show that you’re the kinda man who;
Will never look back, never look down,
and never let go.
Gotta take every chance to, show that you’re the kinda man who;
Will never look back, never look down,
and never let go.
We say goodbye, but never let go.
We live, we die, ‘but you can’t save every soul.
Gotta take every chance to, show that you’re the kinda man who;
Will never look back, never look down,
and never let go.
Will never look back, never look down,
and never let go.

P.s Kevin Costner is HOT! He’s the man! :)

OOP: Difinite Integral Calculator with GUI

12 04 2008

This is my first entry for Geeky Perspective so in this entry, I’d would like to share with all of you my final project for Object Oriented Programming (OOP). (Note: I am not going to explain all the things in details yea.)

Definite Integral Calculator (Screen Shot)

I am doing this project with my friend, Puteri. For this project we were assigned to create an efficient and user-friendly definite integral calculator program for users. I would say that, it was a very challenging and enriching experience to spent time researching on references and understanding Definite Integral using Riemann Sum and also the application of EZWin program independently. Seriously, this was the trickiest and most testing part of our project. Suppose, we need to provide user with an interactive graphical window using GUI (Graphical User Interface), like a real calculator which allows user to click and calculate values displayed (virtually). Unfortunately, we couldn’t create the GUI required due to the fact that we are not taught how to fully utilize the EZWin programme in lectures and tutorials. We tried actually but we only managed to create graphics such as buttons of numbers and simple operators like addition (+) and substractions (-), but encountered problems in integrating our program with the EZWin graphics. We attempted to understand and learn the basic application of this program by ourselves, but only managed to create a window which displays image in the EZWin library. We decided to still include this application although it is not the required one.

Dialog Box

The coding:

  1. #include <iostream>
  2. #include <cmath>
  3. #include “bitmap.h”
  4. #include “randint.h”
  5. #include “ezwin.h”
  6. #include <assert.h>
  7. using namespace std;
  8. const double n=1000000;
  9. SimpleWindow PhotoWindow(”Thank you for using our calculator. Have a nice day! =) “, 13.0, 15.0,
  10. Position(5.0, 5.0));
  11. Position operator+(const Position &x, const Position &y);
  12. class Function{
  13. protected:
  14. double Lim1;
  15. double Lim2;
  16. int degree;
  17. public:
  18. Function();
  19. void get_Limit1();
  20. void get_Limit2();
  21. float integration();
  22. double func(double x);
  23. void set_degree();
  24. virtual void displayData();
  25. };
  26. Function::Function():degree(2)
  27. {}
  28. void Function::get_Limit1()
  29. {
  30. cout<<”\n#2. Please enter 1st limit : “;
  31. cin>>Lim1;cin.ignore();
  32. }
  33. void Function::get_Limit2()
  34. {
  35. cout<<”\n#3. Please enter 2nd limit : “;
  36. cin>>Lim2;cin.ignore();
  37. }
  38. void Function::set_degree()

  40. cout<<”\n#1. Please enter degree : “;
  41. cin>>degree;
  42. }
  43. float Function::integration()
  44. {
  45. float integ_val=0;
  46. float j;
  47. for(j=1;j<=n;j++)
  48. {
  49. integ_val=integ_val+(func(Lim1+(Lim2-Lim1)/n*j) * (Lim2-Lim1)/n);
  50. }
  51. return integ_val;
  52. }
  53. double Function::func(double x)
  54. {
  55. return (pow(x,degree));
  56. }
  57. void Function::displayData()
  58. {
  59. cout<<”\n”;
  60. cout<<”————————————————–”<<endl;
  61. cout<<”\n The calculated value \n of integration of F(x) is “<<integration()<<endl<<endl;
  62. cout<<”————————————————–\n”<<endl;
  63. }
  64. int ApiMain()
  65. {
  66. Function func;
  67. char answ;
  68. cout<<”—————————————————————————”<<endl;
  69. cout<<” This is a program which calculates \n Definite Integrals using Riemann Sum..”<<endl;
  70. cout<<” created by Nur Farahshila \n & Puteri Nurul Jehan.”<<endl;
  71. cout<<”\n”;
  72. cout<<” The function used consists of a single variable x”<<endl;
  73. cout<<” For example f(x)=x\n”<<endl;
  74. cout<<” The degree of x is determined by user”<<endl;
  75. cout<<” For example for f(x)=x^2 \n User may input 2 as the degree followed by the limits.\n”<<endl;
  76. cout<<” Simply follow these 3 easy steps. “<<endl;
  77. cout<<”—————————————————————————”<<endl;
  78. do {
  79. func.set_degree();
  80. func.get_Limit1();
  81. func.get_Limit2();
  82. func.displayData();
  83. /* ask.question();
  84. ask.answer();
  85. */
  86. cout<<”Would you like to calculate again? (y/n)”;
  87. cin>>answ;cin.ignore();
  88. cout<<”\n————————————————–\n”<<endl;
  89. }while (answ==’y');
  90. PhotoWindow.Open();
  91. assert(PhotoWindow.GetStatus() == WindowOpen);
  92. Position WindowCenter = PhotoWindow.GetCenter();
  93. // Create a bitmap
  94. BitMap Photo(PhotoWindow);
  95. //Load the image
  96. Photo.Load(”picture.bmp”);
  97. assert(Photo.GetStatus() == BitMapOkay);
  98. // Compute position of photo so it is centered
  99. // vertically in the window to the right
  100. Position PhotoPosition = WindowCenter +
  101. Position(-.5 * Photo.GetWidth(),
  102. -.5 * Photo.GetHeight());
  103. Photo.SetPosition(PhotoPosition);
  104. Photo.Draw();
  105. //system(”pause”);
  106. return 0;
  107. }

This is the source code for our calculator. This code has a specific function of definite integral which allows users to set their own limits and degrees (allows flexibility and choice). It will firstly display the instructions of using this program. It contains the class object created, ‘func’ which then calls the functions required to input values and perform the definite integral calculation. The result will then be displayed onto the screen. After the result is displayed, a do-while function will ask if user would like to perform another calculation again. If user answers “y” which means yes, the program will loop and returns the functions which request for user input of values all over again. If user answers “n” or type any other letter/numbers on the keyboard, the program will quit and an EZWindow window will appear thanking the user for using the program. The EZWindows properties are defined in this function. Where the bitmap is created and the image is loaded. The positions such as height and width of the window is also set here.

Lastly, for those who wants this code you may use this code in your own programs freely and with no charge. But do not forget to say thank you yea! :)

if i could time travel to the past …

6 04 2008

the shadow of myself

If I could travel to the past, definitely I would correct all the wrongs. If I could travel to the past, definitely I would make the best in everything that I put in my life. If I could travel to the past, definitely I would remain all the good qualities within me. If I could travel to the past, definitey I would think and think and think before I made any decisions in my life. If I could travel to the past, definitely I would be better than I am now.

I know, it is impossible for me to time travel to the past. By reading this entry I am sure you will think that I am a kind of person that would not concentrate on my present moment. Hmm, maybe, yes. I am full of uncertainties. I am still trying to find out on what should I do in my life. But the question is, till when? Why I’m always clueless in choosing a right derection to myself? Why I’m so scared of failing? Oh, I wish I can travel to the past. I want to be my my family’s little girl again. I want to feel safe, always. =(

If and only if I could travel to the past…

blow.. blow the bubbles

4 04 2008

I am khalas with my exams. One word.. YAY! Oh, khalas is an arabic word which means done. So, yea, I am done with my final exams. *dance*

Hmm.. So let’s see what I am going to mumbles here. I have a lot of things in my mind right now but I couldn’t find a right word to begin with because I feel I’m at risk of sounding utterly sentimental throughout this entry. I feel extremely funny of myself right now and I feel funny with my life as well. I am now living in the world of wonderland. Thinking about someone and wondering if he is somewhere thinking about me too. You get what I mean?

This is so unexpressible. *blush*

i am a happy girl now

He really makes my day and I am going to miss his jokes, his words, and he, himself throughout this break. =)

Full-stop. ♥
